Knightley Prepares For My Fair Lady Lead

Keira Knightley is in talks to play flower girl Eliza Doolittle in a My Fair Lady remake. The British actress is the favourite to take Audrey Hepburn's iconic role in the update of the 1964 musical, based on George Bernard Shaw's comedy of manners Pygmalion. The film will be produced by Duncan Kenworthy and theatre impresario Cameron Mackintosh, who hope to shoot the film on location in the original London settings of Covent Garden, Drury Lane and the Ascot racecourse, according to Daily Variety. Mackintosh is familiar with the My Fair Lady story - he has produced two stage revivals of the musical; one of which is currently touring the U.S.
